The air is crisp in London, it’s been snowing in New York, and it’s pitch black at 5pm again. All of this, of course, means that winter is once again on its way. Hurrah.
Many of you will no doubt revel in having to wear hats, scarves and gloves again, but there is a problem. While gloves are great, they're not-so-great for when you want to wear giant cocktail rings, pick your nose, itch your face, pick a penny up off the ground, touch yourself, eat, or update Twitter whilst walking through a blizzard.
Gloves are highly inconvenient, yet kind of necessary if you’d like to keep your poor fingers from turning blue, then black, and then falling off.
Thankfully, clever folks have created gloves that let you pick your nose, as well as update your Twitter status on your iPhone. The FIVEPOINT gloves were perfect for doing both, however, it did mean that the tips of your index finger and thumb were hanging out in the cold, and if you wanted for them to be warm and Tweetable at the same time, you had to cough up £40. Ouch.
Thankfully, this weekend while cruising around Garsons Farm gift shop in Esher, I discovered that good ol’ Isotoner has created a line of SmarTouch gloves that keep all of your digits warm, for as low as £15.

They come in a variety of materials and styles (knitted, fleece, leather, etc) for both men and women, and all have a special conductive material woven into the thumb and index finger so that you use multi-touch touchscreens, as well as your SatNav and any other clever piece of tech with a touchscreen.
Even better? Even the most expensive version of these gloves are only £20. MEGAWIN.
I bought myself the stripey knit pair, and I’m in love with them. I suggest you get yourself a pair, stat.
