"Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" - RIP Steve Jobs

By Cate Sevilla

Today is an incredibly sad day in the world of tech, as we have lost one of our great leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, Steve Jobs.

I don't own any Apple products aside from an iPod that is about four generations behind, and I am often critical of Apple fanboys. While I remain dubious about the trustworthiness of the brand, the news of the death of Steve Jobs is, simply put, profoundly sad. As President Barack Obama said, "There may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented."

There have already been an incredible amount of highly articulate, moving tributes to Steve Jobs, so I will not regurgitate his many memorable quotes or simply give you a timeline of his incredible life. What I will share, however, is Steve's Commencement speech at Stanford University in 2005. He speaks of finding your life's work, staying true to who you are, and the importance of living every day as if it could be last.

As Steve so elegantly stated, "Death is very likely the single best invention of life."
