While I’ve been busy wooing myself with my HTC Legend, it seems that Blackberry is on a mission to get all of us Android and iPhone 4 converts back. While you might be thinking that this is impossible, I’m actually thinking Blackberry has a glimmer of hope.
This glimmer’s name is the Blackberry 6.
While it would appear no mortal has touched or actually had a proper test of this mythical phone, the new video that RIM posted yesterday makes it look pretty snazzy. Like, “pinch and zoom” snazzy.
The video sneak peek shows all of the handy dandy things you can do with the new Blackberry 6 – and in a move to either keep us guessing as to what it actually looks like, or to keep us focused on its functionality rather than how it looks, this video only shows us the Blackberry 6’s screen:
The “universal search” seems pretty handy, as does the redesigned home screen. Plus, I’m happy that Blackberry are paying much more attention to how important it is to not just “have an app for that” when it comes to social networks, but to make those apps practical and easy to use. Personally, I can’t stand Twitter for Blackberry (longlive Ubertwitter!) but I do like how the new Blackberry 6 integrates all of your news and social networks into one destination. Or so I think.
I’ll have to wait to get my paws on the Blackberry 6 before I deside to halt my current HTC Legend + Blackberry Curve combo or not.
Blackberry have certainly got out interest. Now let’s hope they can hold it.
