Videogames that trigger any form of emotion apart from “grrrrr I need to kill them all” are few and far between. When it comes to games available online, they are even rarer. Thanks to Felicia Day it's now sort of socially acceptable to geek out over computer games if you're a girl. Those of you who've never tried playing a RPG before should give it a go. Creating a character and going out questing can be fun, especially if you happen to have a lot of time on your hands and feel like some good old escapism (christmas holidays anyone?).

The one thing PC and Mac users can both agree on is that the advertising campaign for Windows 7 is beyond irritating. Whether it’s the TV adverts or the posters in an Underground station, that whole “I’m a nobody and yet Windows 7 was somehow my idea” thing is just annoying. A good idea – and I see where they were going with it – but it was executed wrong.
