E-books are not exactly new, but they are still stirring up a storm. With Amazon's Kindle 2 and Sony's latest Reader packing new features, the e-book is becoming more and more popular. Despite this increasing popularity, many authors are still holding out on publishing their books in an e-book format. Do we blame the authors, or do we blame the e-book?

We have cellphones, miniature computers, and cellphones that are miniature computers, but there is still more technology out there. If we look to science fiction, there are plenty of concepts that we can use to improve our everyday lives and help to insure total world domination (insert evil laughter).

I recently attended the launch of the Acer AspireRevo, the first ‘nettop’ to be powered by NVIDIA ION technology. In plain English, it’s a small PC that clips onto the back of the inevitable super-sized screen you’ll want to buy to maximise its killer graphics capabilities.
Those of you that read regularly will know that I’ve embraced the netbook revolution readily, and only a few weeks ago reviewed the Samsung NC10.

Yesterday was the incredibly brilliant event from TechCrunch Europe called Geek 'n Rolla. A day jam-packed with incredibly interesting presentations from entrepreneurs and techie geniuses such as Andy McLoughlin from Huddle and Leisa Reichelt. It was one of the few events I have walked away from feeling like I actually learned something, and that it was immensely productive.

I’ve been a fan of the very light, super-transportable netbook for some time, and in my last review back in December, I looked at Vodafone's Dell Inspiron 9. It's the perfect size for instant access when travelling and though I still use a different laptop at home for the sake of my eyes (as well as vastly superior usability), I’m still a big fan all the same.

A while ago, I was bought a Sony Reader. I love it dearly, and have not regretted asking for the gift. I knew when I bought it that unless I downloaded books illegally, I would be tied to Waterstone’s as the eBook vendor. I was fine with that, having always had a good experience in Waterstone’s shops, where I’ve been lucky to receive some excellent service. If only this extended to their online home.

Some of you may remember that a few weeks ago, I reviewed Sony Ericsson's latest iteration of its C905 phone.
Apart from the change of colour (this one is pink), this version also sees the introduction of the smile shutter (which 'senses' smiles and snaps as soon as it picks one up), YouTube integration for direct web uploads and the introduction of iPhone/G1 style threaded conversations ...

The internet has brought us many wonders: the Rick Roll, the Facebook quiz, the Twitter novel, the blogosphere, but on most days I am reminded of the real point of the internet, its highest good and special purpose: bacon celebration.
So vegans and PETA proponents, cover your eyes. This is a porcine odyssey.

After the fiasco surrounding the sudden change in Terms of Service for Facebook changes in terms which included:
