I’m not usually a massive fan of accessories for mobile phones. Sure, I went through a scary stage of thinking mobile phone charms were acceptable, but I rarely even use a Bluetooth headset. However, I have found the most awesome accessory for your mobile phone ever: the Moshi Moshi POP Phone.
Brightly colored retro style handsets designed by French designer David Turpin, these nifty little handsets are modelled after the 1950s Bakelite telephone. Available in yellow, purple, blue, green and pink, each handset has a “soft touch finish”, and chances are you’ll feel like a teenager again using it.
The POP handsets connect to your mobile via a 3.5mm jack – adaptors are available if it doesn’t fit in your phone as is – and it can also be connected to your PC via a USB adaptor. Plus, if you’re one of the many people concerned about the link between mobile phone usage and cancer, the POP handsets provide a nice health benefit, as well, as using it means you don’t have a mobile phone and all of the radio waves passing through it pressed up against your skull.
I personally love using this with my Blackberry, as it makes it easier to do other things while you're on the phone, such as checking your diary, or even checking your email if on the phone to a work colleague. Plus, I just like pretending I'm talking on a real phone - there's something nostalgic and awesome about it that I didn't know I missed until using a POP handset.
Most POP handsets are available on Amazon.com for around $27, or on Amazon.co.uk for around £21. Check out the Native Union Website for more information!
