Are you tired of sitting at your PC, while others are out frolicking
in the sun (or snow, whatever)? Are you filled with envy when you see others in your
office with that golden-brown "I've just been away on holiday and
you've been stuck here like a big, pale idiot" look?
Your're not alone, and that's why I'd like to tell you about this fantastic new product called Computer Tan.
Computer
Tan does...well, it does what it says on the tin. It's a new form of
technology that allows you to tan at you computer. Just watch what
Hannah Yasmin has to say about it!
Apparently all you have to do
is sit on your ass, as usual, in front of your PC, and there's some
nifty tech thing that they've done that allows some sort of UV ray to radiate from your screen.
Also, I should point if you thought
that I was serious and/or that this was real, you may want to rethink
the way you treat you skin - or technology for that matter!
Obviously,
Computer Tan is fake, as you find out about a minute into your "free
trial" of Computer Tan, some rather unsettling photos of what over
exposure to UV rays can do to your skin - along with a message from the
Karen Clifford Skin Cancer Charity - Skcin.
People in the UK,
and all over the world, to be fair, do not take overexposure to the sun
seriously enough. How many times have you been sun burned because you
didn't bother putting on sunscreen and acted if just wasn't a big deal.
Skcin aims to raise awareness that it is a big deal, and can have some
serious consequences, including death.
So, a light hearted entry
into a very serious topic, but well done Skcin for catching our
attention with such a clever campaign.
