If you're a Gmail user, your social networking just got a whole lot easier as Gmail add-on “Rapportive” has just introduced Twitter integration!
Not familiar with Rapportive? Launched back in 2010, Rapportive is a Gmail Add-On allows you to see everything about your contacts without leaving your inbox. Within any Gmail conversation, you'll be able to see a social profile of the person you're talking to, displaying their picture, location, occupation and various social profiles, including LinkedIn, G+,Twitter,Facebook, etc.
You're also able to easily edit your own public profile, so when other folks have Rapportive installed, you can make sure they're seeing the right information.
If you've had trouble keeping track “who's who” in your overflowing inbox and hundreds of contacts across various social networks, Rapportive will step in and provide a much needed sense of clarity.

The awesome new Twitter integration allows you to follow, reply and retweet that contact on Twitter without navigating away from Gmail. It's as easy as pie. You're also able to follow people on LinkedIn or Facebook directly from Gmail, too.
As the folks at Rapportive have so eloquently put it, it's “relationship management built into your email. For free”
Rapportive can be installed either as a Gmail add-on or extension on various browsers, and when it's installed correctly, Rapportive will pop up on the right-hand side of your screen, as you can see in the screenshots above.
