After falling in love a few years ago with my baby blue, retro headphones from Panasonic, I’ve not do much as even browsed for headphones. I don’t see the point. I have my little ear buds I use with my iPod, and then my blue headphones for everything else. What more could I need?
However, I seem to have developed a wandering eye.
Audio Chi is a small premium audio company based in Glasgow who say they can help you “accessorize with sound” by creating some seriously attractive headphones, and they've most definitely grabbed my attention. Using something called Structural Acoustics Technology, Audio Chi say they've create a sound that’s not usually heard outside of recording studios.

The Audio Chi W-Series have lots of clever features such as titanium coated drivers, gold plated connections and copper clad aluminium wire voice coils that help you “close as possible to the true sound of the original recording”. However, the coolest feature they have, in my opinion, is that their cords are coated in fabric, not rubber, so they don’t get twisted and coil up around your chin like a gross little skinny beard when you’re listening to your music. Plus, the cables are detachable from the headphones so if that if it gets tugged, it will detatch instead of pulling and ruining the connection inside the headphones. (Much like a Mac charger.)

The Audio Chi headphones are compatible with iPhones and most other devices, and are avialble in different finishes and retails at £69.95 from Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge, John Lewis, Comet, Dixon’s travel and online at audiochi.com.
